Keyword searching in the WRLC Libraries Catalog

In order to locate books, videos, or other media on a particular topic that are owned by one of the WRLC Libraries, it is recommended that you perform a keyword search in the WRLC Libraries Catalog. The ? is the symbol for truncation in the WRLC Libraries Catalog.

Phrase Searching:

In the WRLC Libraries catalog, it is necessary to put phrases in quotation marks. This is specific to the catalog and is unnecessary in most other databases.

  • "first amendment"
  • "United States"

Research question:

Should libraries censor the Internet?

Search string:

(Internet OR net OR web) AND (censor? OR free speech) AND librar?
