: Films for the Humanities & Sciences, c1999.
Ancient civilizations. 1 videocassette (47 min.)
; sd., col. ; 1/2 in. The antecedents of modern

This era saw the birth of the Hindu religion. The

subcontinent in 1000 BC, bringing their language
and culture. The resulting synthesis between the
Aryan and Indian civilizations brought forth a unique
society that included a caste system, which soon
became entrenched. Program examines the religious
tension between Hinduism, Buddhism, and Islam, and
the historical events that shaped the great Indian
civilizations from the Morian Empire through the

undifferentiated consciousness of the divine. --

Yoga that concentrates on the seven chakras or symbolic

practices to united the spiritual power in the human
being with the spiritual force of the universe.

Buddhists turn the ritual experience of death into
a spiritual exercise. Traces the stages of the Tibetan
