Get
an Article Once you Have the Citation
Step
1: See if it is available electronically or in print
- Click
Here to Find e-journals
- Type beginning
of JOURNAL title
- If AU
has the correct years, click link to journal
- If you want/need to get the article from the print collection, click on the link and fill out the form to have the article scanned in pdf. You'll get an email to the pdf when it is ready.
Step 2: Consortium Loan Services (CLS)
- If you got 0 results from the Journal Finder, follow the link to ALADIN to search for the journal at other libraries. Search the title of the journal.
- If another
school has it with the right years, click on the record, if no one does,
skip to Step 4
- From inside
the record, click on the link to the Consortium Loan Service (looks like a yellow post-it-note)
- Login
(family name, AU ID, select AU as your institution)
- Enter
citation information (title, author, volume, page numbers, etc.)
- Re-enter
your AU ID number
- Click
submit
- In 3-5
business days, you will get an email with a link to the article
Step
3: Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
If neither AU nor any WRLC school has the journal, you can request it
through Interlibrary Loan.
- Go
to the Interlibrary Loan system
- Login
using your AU ID number and last name (the last name is case sensitive...if
it doesn't work using all lower case, try beginning with a capital).
- Click
Request an Article
- Enter
all the citation information you have (title, author, date)
- Click
Submit
