What is MyALADIN?

MyALADIN is your personal library account.  Through myALADIN you are able to:

• Update your email address
• Access a list of the books on your account, their due dates, and renew your books
• Check the status of your Consortium Loan Service requests
• Access your Consortium Loan Service articles
• View your Interlibrary Loan books
• Access your Interlibrary Loan articles

Logging into your myALADIN account

To log into your account, click here.  You will then need to type in your last name, 7-digit AU I.D. number or 14-digit barcode number (without letters) and select your school.

To update your email address

(Having your correct email address in the system will allow you to receive important information regarding your account such as approaching due dates, overdue notices and consortium loan request updates.)

• Log into MyALADIN.
• You will need to find the blue tab titled “Patron Information & Email Registration”.
• Click on “Edit”.
• You should be able to add or change your email address in the text field.
• Click on “Update Email” to submit your changes

To view your library books

• Log into MyALADIN.
• American, Catholic, UDC, Gallaudet, George Washington, and Marymount:
  • To view your books click “View” on the corresponding tab (“AU, CU, DC, GA, GW, & MU”).  Your books and their due dates will then be listed.
• George Mason:
  • To view your books click “View” on the George Mason tab.  Your books and their due dates will be listed.
• Georgetown:
  • To view your books from Georgetown click “View” on the Georgetown tab.  You will then need to log into Georgetown’s system using your 14-digit barcode number (no letters) found on the lower left hand side of your AU I.D., and your last name.  The click on the “Item(s) currently checked out” link to access your list of Georgetown books and their due dates.

To view the status of your consortium loan service items:

• Log into MyALADIN.
• Scroll to the bottom of your MyALADIN page until you see a gray tab titled “Consortium Loan Service Activity”.
• Click on “View”.

You will now be able to see all of the books you have requested from the consortium loan service (CLS) within the last 14 days.  You will also be able to see the current status of each book request.  The status of each book will let you know if it is available at the school you requested, enroute to the school you requested, if it is in the process of being delivered, if the request is still pending at the lending school, or if the book was unavailable.

To access your consortium loan service and inter-library loan articles:

• Log into MyALADIN.
• Scroll to the bottom of your MyALADIN page until you see a gray tab titled “Web Document Delivery”.
• Click on “View”.

All of your available articles should be listed and will open into a PDF file once selected.

To view your inter-library loan (ILL) items (those from outside the consortium):

• Log into MyALADIN.
• Scroll to the bottom of your MyALADIN page until you see a gray tab titled “Interlibrary Loan Activity”.
• Click on “View”.
• Log in using your AU I.D. number and last name.
• To access a list of your ILL items click the “View/Renew Items” tab.
