Cartographies of Upheaval: Fiction About World Jewry in the Twentieth Century
What is it?
This program is a scholar-led reading and discussion series presented by the American University Library, Jewish Studies Program and the Center for Israel Studies. Our lecturer and moderator is Dr. Lauren Strauss.

When will the group meet?
The group will meet on Monday evenings from 7 pm to 9 pm at the Bender Library and Learning Resources Center.

November 2nd: Maus I by Art Spiegelman
November 16th: The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay by Michael Chabon
Is there a charge for this program?
No. The program is free and open to the community.
Where do I get the books?
Participants are asked to supply their own books. Books may be purchased from the American University Campus Store, located in the Butler Pavilion, at a 10% discount for program registrants. Titles for the fall semester should be available by September 1st. (The Campus Store can be reached at (202) 885-6300)
Transportation and Parking
There is a large parking lot across the street from campus on the corner of Nebraska and New Mexico Avenues (the entrance is on New Mexico Avenue). Use the “Pay as You Go” pay stations located at the pedestrian exits of the Nebraska Avenue lot to pay for hourly or daily parking using money or credit cards.
