Please
Note: It is very important to state where you found your citation.
This can reduce the time it takes to get your article
or book. If you are trying to verify a citation you may
want to try WorldCat . OCLC or ISBN numbers for books and ISSN numbers for
articles are very helpful for staff when placing requests
and will help expedite the process.

Lending
to Other Libraries
AU participates in facilitated borrowing within the
Washington Research Libraries Consortium (WRLC). Libraries
not affiliated with the WRLC may also make requests.
Generally other libraries submit requests to us via
the OCLC ILL system by using library symbol EAU.
Libraries
that don't participate in OCLC may use this electronic ALA
form for articles or the electronic ALA
form for books. If your library is a first time
borrower, please contact the lending specialist prior
to submitting the form.

our collections delivered for pick-up at their home libraries.

WRLC borrowers may also visit American University Library to copy journal articles and check out other materials directly. Be sure to bring your valid home university ID.
