Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI)

Members of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) are entitled to borrow books from American University Library and have access to databases on site. The loan period for books is 4 weeks. OLLI members have privileges for on site use of materials in Media Services. OLLI instructors may borrow media titles for class use at the discretion of the Media Services supervisors.

OCLC Reciprocal Faculty Borrowing Program/ Faculty Visitors

American University Library participates in the OCLC Reciprocal Faculty Borrowing Program. Faculty visiting American University from almost 190 participating research libraries are eligible to borrow circulating library materials. Faculty must pre-register for an identification card at their home institutions.

Through this cooperative effort, American University faculty may also be eligible to use materials or borrow materials at nearly 190 participating research libraries. American University faculty members may come to the Circulation Desk (202-885-3221) in order to receive an OCLC Reciprocal Faculty Borrowing Card.
