On Approval

What does it mean the Catalog says something is "On Approval?"

It means that it is a new item that has been received into the building, but it has not yet been processed (e.g. cataloged etc.) so it is not on the shelves.

Can I get an "On Approval" item?

Yes, but not immediately. You have two options.

  • Click here and fill out the Priority Cataloging form. The library staff will then rush process the requested item and put it aside for you. However, this can still take up to 5 business days.
  • If the item is available at another WRLC Library, it may be faster to request it through CLS.

I'm still confused...
